The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly app that lets you select the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you could decide to let the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only drawback is that the robot tends to crash into objects and walls at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning on the app will reveal exactly what the robot done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs must be completed including emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you look at all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. Unlike last year's model it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could miss.
The Roborock model, like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It then can alter its direction automatically and clean the objects, without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I have discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life and component maintenance. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its innovative design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry mess. It also comes with a top-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. Additionally the X40 is very quiet during it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of noise when switching modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 has a side brush that can be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to get under furniture with a low profile which makes it a great choice for small apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that helps the X40 to avoid damaging floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or in a series. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is simple and simple to use, and the X40's smart features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.

It uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is an excellent feature as it stops the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen in other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There's a plethora of options available which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a number of different preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options to customize the cleaning routine, and there are a lot of features that other robots do not include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, instead of using a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on market, with metallic and white design that looks elegant and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing but it's not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
